Having worked with Clint during his time as President of the Park Board and his most recent position as Chief Judge, it was evident that he possessed the qualities of a great public servant. Clint has been an integral part of the St. Charles community his entire life. During this time, he has contributed through numerous roles, from board participation to volunteer contributions to numerous charities, teams, and organizations. He has also attended city meetings, events, and engaged with countless people to understand the issues and concerns affecting our community.

I am proud to endorse Clint Hull for Mayor of St. Charles and encourage others to do the same. Together, we can ensure that our great community of St. Charles continues to thrive under the capable, proven, and visionary leadership of Clint Hull as Mayor.

  • Kane County Sheriff | Ron Hain

I had the pleasure of working alongside Clint for years beginning while he was a prosecutor and I was a young Sheriff’s Deputy, as well as when Judge Hull presided as Chief Judge during my active tenure as Sheriff. What I appreciate most about Clint is his work ethic and ability to collaborate with all members of government. While he was Chief Judge and I was Sheriff, we worked together in times of crisis and uncertainty, through the onset of the COVID pandemic, civil unrest in 2020, and sweeping criminal justice reform laws. During those times, we spoke almost daily to navigate all of these uncertain times. What stands out to me is that Clint always wanted everyone’s input to make the best decisions for all involved. I truly believe these characteristics will shine through as Mayor.  With his proven passion and dedication to this City, he will work incessantly to better the City for everyone. Therefore, I, Sheriff Ron Hain, a life-long resident of St. Charles, endorse Clint Hull for Mayor of St. Charles.

  • 9 former alderpersons

    9 Former Alderpersons

We the undersigned retired Alderpersons of the City of St. Charles HEARTILY endorse our friend CLINT HULL for Mayor. Collectively we have done the job, held a seat on the dais collectively for over 100 years, and know well what makes a good Mayor. Clint has all the traits, experience, and temperament to be a GREAT Mayor. He is a proven leader and collaborator. He is a lover extraordinaire of all that is St. Charles. And most of all Clint is a good, good person. With great intentionality Clint has been a regular attender at all Council and Committee meetings, learning firsthand all the issues. Clint has reached out and met with current alderpersons. If there is an appointed City Commission, he has been to those too. Clint knows the issues; he knows the players. As a Park District Board member and President, he developed and remains current in critical and mutually beneficial intergovernmental and public-private partnerships. As a Chief Judge Clint worked hard towards collaboration with key team members on day-to-day and crisis matters alike. But most of all, Clint Hull LOVES his city and it is contagious! A large part of Mayor’s job is representing St. Charles locally and regionally personally and earnestly. Have you ever been to a St. Charles event, big or small and NOT seen Clint? Then you know he does not just attend, he engages! It is in his DNA. Our endorsement comes with a shared vision of care, love, and responsibility for the future of St. Charles.

  • Former Kane County State's Attorney | Joe McMahon

As a resident of St. Charles and a former colleague, I am thrilled to endorse Clint Hull in his campaign for Mayor of St. Charles. When I served as the elected State’s Attorney for Kane County I saw first-hand his dedication, leadership skills, and his belief in the greatness of St. Charles.  I saw how good policy drove his decision-making and how he held the line on unnecessary spending and managed a multi-million dollar operating and capital budget.

More than 30 years ago, Clint and I started our careers together when we worked together as deputy prosecutors. Throughout his career I have witnessed his incredible commitment to his hometown and our community. His devotion to St. Charles is almost unprecedented and is driven by his belief that St. Charles is the greatest place to live, work and raise a family.

Clint has had a distinguished legal career as both a prosecutor and judge, listening to people directly impacted by crime, hearing from a diverse cross section of the community, and other stakeholders to find solutions to some of the biggest challenges the Kane County judicial system has faced.  He brings people together through diplomacy,  by soliciting diverse opinions and crafting solutions to challenges that had no precedent or playbook and at times seemed insurmountable.  Clint’s collaboration, dedication and organizational skills brought people together to solve challenges, even in the face of strong and differing opinions.

Clint’s vision for St. Charles is shaped by a generational commitment to St. Charles.  Clint’s parents both lived and worked in St. Charles, and they instilled in him the responsibility to give back to the community.  His commitment to excellence, his ethical leadership and his professional achievements have been recognized by the Illinois Supreme Court, when he was appointed a Circuit Court Judge and again by his judicial colleagues when they selected Clint two times to serve as Chief Judge of 16th Judicial Circuit.   Community organizations like the Community Crisis Center recognized his leadership and commitment to public safety when they awarded him their Partnership in Peace award and the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce when they awarded him their Charlemagne Award.

I hope you will continue to explore Clint’s website and join me in supporting Clint Hull for Mayor in the upcoming election.

He has been innovative and most important collaborative. Bob and Karen Hardy

As long-standing residents of the St Charles community, we have experienced first-hand, the thoughtfulness, compassion, resourcefulness, and leadership of Clint Hull.  When our son Justin met Clint Hull at a SALT meeting at St Charles East High School, it was no surprise that a mutual admiration ensued and a personal connection commenced as they both have the unique ability to connect with everyone they encounter.  That connection would only grow when Justin was diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer and was courageously redefining what it was to live with terminal cancer.  Below are just a few examples of the core values that Clint Hull possesses which are woven into the very fabric of his being and were on display during Justin’s waning days:

Thoughtfulness:  After Justin had received an experimental treatment that left his body ravaged, Clint Hull called Justin and offered to make the 4.5-hour one-way trek to St Louis so that they could watch the NCAA March Madness basketball games together.

Compassion:  As it became evident that Justin was nearing the end, Clint Hull called a special meeting with the St Charles East Hall of Fame Committee to review the by-laws, expedited the vote on Justin’s nomination into the Hall of Fame and then presented him with the Jodie Harrison Lifetime Achievement Award at the Hoops4Hope event on February 8, 2022.

Resourcefulness:  One of Justin’s last wishes was to have a Legacy Celebration at the St Charles East gymnasium, a place that was like a second home to him, where those who attended could wear their favorite team’s jersey and remember Justin.  When others within the community were saying “no” to that occurring, Clint sought common ground and single-handedly found a path forward to ensure that Justin’s wish was granted.

Leadership:  Clint has played, and continues to play, a prominent and instrumental role in ensuring that Justin’s legacy thrives within the St Charles community and beyond.

Clint’s track record has clearly demonstrated a commitment to the people of St Charles, a willingness for collaborative dialogue, timely involvement and pragmatic action that will prove invaluable in addressing both the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for our community.  Clint’s candor, creativity and resourcefulness will ensure that any decision made will be tested through transparent and thoughtful debate and he will continue to provide the leadership that the St Charles community needs.  For these reasons and for so many more unmentioned, we enthusiastically endorse Clint Hull for Mayor of St Charles.

His love for our city is contagious, and his vision for the future aligns with the care, responsibility, and passion we all share for St. Charles.

Over the years, Clint has been an influential figure in our lives by guiding us through tough decisions, helping us to be active members of the community & be an asset after college to help with our employment. President, St. Charles Park District Board | Bob Thomson

As a longtime resident of St. Charles, I am proud and honored to endorse Clint Hull for the next Mayor of St. Charles. I met Clint when I first was elected to the St. Charles Park Board of Commissioners where I got to serve alongside him. Clint and I had a great relationship, but more importantly, I felt like Clint was a mentor to me in adjusting to my elected role in the community. Clint was our board president from 2002-2004 where his leadership helped guide the board with his knowledge, passion, integrity, insight, and ideas. One such idea that Clint was part of was the creation of the STC Underground Teen Center at Baker Community Center in 2001which received the Governor’s Hometown award in 2002. It has been a great program since and has served our teens well.

St. Charles has been Clint’s home his entire life and he has given our community so much to be proud of. I believe that Clint has great vision for St. Charles, and I can’t wait to see how it takes shape under his leadership as our next mayor.

I am proud to offer my support to Clint Hull for Mayor of St Charles.  My first meeting of Clint was over 24 years ago watching soccer.  From that day to today, my respect for him has continued to grow. He has never wavered on being an upstanding person: always polite, engaging and tremendously respectful.  Watching Clint's successful career from attorney, Assistant State's Attorney to Chief Judge and all of the volunteering and boards he has been on, makes me confident as a mayor he will achieve his mission of ensuring St. Charles remains an affordable and attractive community to live, work and raise a family.

Clint will always put the community's best interests at the forefront of every decision. Clint listens to people with an open mind.  He genuinely wants to hear what people are asking, wanting and needing.  For the future of St. Charles, I am confident that Clint Hull will lead with integrity, vision, and an unwavering dedication to making St. Charles a place where people want to live and enjoy life.

Having known Clint since our teens and having the privilege of sharing the community of St. Charles with him for forty years, there is not a better, more qualified individual out there to lead the vision of St. Charles going forward. His effectiveness and experience as a leader and collaborator, as well as his grace and humbleness as a person make for the perfect combination for the position of Mayor.

Long prior to any political motivation, Clint’s proven track record of putting the community of St. Charles first, in particular our youth, is a testament to his priority to make St. Charles a great place to live, work and raise a family. I have witnessed over many years Clint’s unique ability lead individuals, groups and projects, with differing viewpoints, to a positive environment for discussion, and in most instances, a consensus outcome. With this professional skill set and proven history of action, along with his infectious love and commitment to St. Charles, I see the ideal Mayoral candidate.

I enthusiastically endorse Clint Hull for Mayor of St. Charles!  I have seen Clint’s impact up close as a neighbor, friend, Judge & Coach.  Clint is St. Charles.  His passion for the people of St. Charles is what will make him succeed at being Mayor.   Clint has earned his reputation as a person of integrity, and his decisions will be 100% focused on what is best for the people of St. Charles, Clint will be a uniter. His positive energy will make the City function at a high level for everyone. When people say St. Charles is doing okay, we say okay is not good enough! St. Charles should be an aspirational place to live, and Clint will work hard to regain this status.  Clint is committed to making St. Charles a place our kids will want to move back to instead of moving away from.

As a former Board member for St. Charles Storm, I can tell you that everyone who was coached by Clint came away with a positive experience. We never had to worry about the teams that were coached by Clint. Regardless of in-game performance, the reviews for Coach Hull were always positive and focused on the development of the players. As a current Park District Board Commissioner, Clint set the bar high from a leadership & integrity perspective. St. Charles residents have all benefited from Clint’s service on the St. Charles Park Board.

Everyone knows about Clint’s cards & letters he would write to local kids congratulating them on their academic or athletic accomplishments.  As a Parent of three, our kids all received one of the famous cards.  The kindness and time involved in writing these cards say more about Clint’s character than I can say in this endorsement. • Secretary, St. Charles Park District Board | Steven Ward

Secretary, St. Charles Park District Board | Steven Ward

I am proud to endorse Clint Hull for Mayor of St. Charles. As a dedicated leader with a proven track record of service, Clint possesses the vision, experience, and determination needed to move our city forward while honoring traditions that make St. Charles a special place to live.

I first met Clint when he invested his time and energy on the soccer fields of St. Charles, coaching my travel soccer team as he finished law school. He always found a way to motivate us to achieve our potential and feel supported, playing a game he loved. He later coached my younger sisters and I got to witness him building his life with Amy, welcoming his children to the world, and ascending to judiciary success as a result of his determination and hard work. Regardless of how busy life got, Clint was always a fixture in my life, there to lend an encouraging word, share a laugh, or just to listen.

Much has already been said of Clint’s accomplishments during his time on the Park Board of Commissioners. My personal intersection with Clint’s passion for the Parks occurred in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, when he made me aware of a vacant seat on the board. I had never considered involvement in local government, and until my work travel came to a screeching halt, never would have thought I had the time available to commit. Clint explained to me how much being on the board furthered his love of St. Charles, raised his awareness of the assets made available to our residents, and how important it is for people who have long appreciated these assets to have a voice in their future. He definitely invoked a sense of duty and fueled my desire to interview, ultimately resulting in a fulfilling new challenge for myself, representing the residents of St. Charles, as a member of the Park Board.

Citing Clint’s extensive civic and legislative experiences, I believe there is no one better suited to lead our city through a transformational period that will require his proven level of integrity, discipline, compassion, cooperation, and attention to detail. The stakes are extremely high for the future of St. Charles given many once in a lifetime decisions that have presented themselves at both the heart and gateways to our city. Everyone stands to benefit from Clint’s commitment to driving economic growth that honors longtime community business owners and attracts new, progressive entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life in St. Charles. I have faith in Clint’s track record to ensure public safety, through accountability, teamwork and relentless resolve to face challenges presented to every citizen, especially our most vulnerable, as we navigate evolving complexities of everyday life to ensure all residents have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

I encourage the people of St. Charles to support Clint Hull in the upcoming election. His integrity, leadership, and passion for public service make him the best choice to serve as our next mayor.

Assistant Secretary, St. Charles Park District Board | Brian Charles, PhD

Clint Hull’s 30-plus years of proven leadership and a clear vision for the future of St. Charles make him THE choice for mayor on April 1. His commitment to the redevelopment of the Charlestowne Mall and the former police station reflects a forward-thinking approach that will bring renewed energy and economic growth to our community. His thoughtful approach to the future of the St. Charles dam highlights his dedication to both safety and environmental stewardship. Clint’s focus on fiscal responsibility ensures that these projects and others are executed with careful planning and without unnecessary taxpayer burden. Having seen the impact of strong leadership on community spaces like those managed by the St. Charles Park District whose elected board on which I serve, I know how important it is to have a Mayor who understands how to balance growth, preservation, and responsible governance. Clint Hull is that leader! St. Charles is at a pivotal moment and needs a leader who can make a full-time commitment to its future. Let’s make the right choice for the City that we love by electing Clint Hull as our next mayor.
